A recent bust in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man on multiple charges, including firearms and narcotics violations. On Monday night, Seattle police officers arrived at a church on Harvard Avenue after reports of property damage. They encountered a group of individuals at the scene, which then resulted in the detention and arrest of one man found in possession of a firearm, according to the Seattle Police Blotter.
The man, later identified as a felon with two outstanding warrants, was unable to provide a Concealed Pistol License, replying to officers' inquiries with, "did not even know what a CPL was," as noted in the police report. A subsequent search of the suspect turned up various drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, and meth among other illicit substances; and a sum of $1,156 in cash.
Police listed the narcotics recovered as 17.7 grams of cocaine, 65.6 grams of fentanyl, 61.9 grams of meth, 1.2 grams of black tar heroin, and 2.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. The suspect's prior convictions prohibit him from gun possession, leading to his booking at the King County Jail for both the weapons and drug offenses.
Officers involved in the incident also took a 42-year-old woman into custody for an unrelated outstanding warrant. Her processing took place at SCORE jail. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit has since taken over the case.
