The National Weather Service in Cleveland has forecasted some top-notch weather for Ohioans this weekend. According to their latest advisory, expect clear blue skies and a shot of late-September warmth. High pressure is taking the reins and providing this perfect sunny setup, which means you'd better grab your sunglasses before you step out.
Saturday started on a high note, well, weather-wise that is, with "mostly clear skies" to ease us into the weekend. The National Weather Service reports that areas across eastern Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania will see some high-level clouds, but it won't be enough to dampen the splendid conditions. Daytime temperatures are slated to rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s, while nightfall will see them gently dropping back to the cool comfort of mid-50s.
It gets even better as we slide into Sunday. Go on and dust off that pair of shorts because it's going to feel more summer than fall with the mercury tipped to "climb into the lower and middle 80s," according to the NWS forecast. This fine weather course is set to stay on track into early next week, so if you've been putting off that picnic or hike, now's the time to get planning.
The short-term outlook holds steady as a 'dome of very nice weather' will plant itself near Chicago early this week, said the weather experts. Tuesday will see a weak cold front slip south, but it's hardly a bother, it'll just mean a bit of a gust in otherwise serene conditions. Temperatures will hold steady in the comfy upper 70s to lower 80s.
Looking further ahead to Wednesday through Friday, a "strong Canadian high pressure system will build across the Great Lakes," said the National Weather Service. When this firm atmospheric grip takes hold, expect the winds to pick up a little, but nothing too wild. Temperatures will remain on the comfortably cool side of things, probably where they're typically at for this time of the year - think middle 60s to 70s during the day and dropping into the 40s when the sun takes its leave.
For those of you drifting across the waters of Lake Erie, the wind and waters will remain tame courtesy of the high pressure controlling things up until Monday. Even with the predicted northeast wind spike on Tuesday, which might necessitate some marine headings, it's looking like plain sailing for any freshwater adventurers out there.
