Seattle police made a significant arrest in South Seattle, nabbing a 33-year-old man suspected of domestic violence and uncovering a stash of drugs and cash. The operation took place on Monday at 5:40 a.m. when patrol officers recognized the man, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, at a SODO gas station, according to the Seattle Police Department Blotter.

Following his stop at the gas station, police approached for the arrest, but the suspect attempted to escape, leading officers on a chase to an apartment complex. There, he ditched his car and fled on foot. Subsequently, officers stationed themselves outside of his apartment and took him into custody once he emerged from the building.

A search warrant for the suspect's car revealed a considerable quantity of illegal drugs, including 84.3 grams of crack cocaine, 113.8 grams of methamphetamine, and over 550 grams of fentanyl, equating to more than 5,000 pills. Police also confiscated $842 in cash and the suspect's ID card. Despite a declined verification for the arrest warrant by Snohomish County, the Seattle Police booked the man into King County Jail on several charges which included eluding a police vehicle, obstructing a law enforcement officer, and the sale and delivery of synthetic narcotics. The case now rests with detectives in the Narcotics Unit who are assigned to investigate further.
