Orlando's Adams Jewelry, a longtime staple of Corrine Drive, was the scene of a calculated heist as thieves spent hours on a Sunday night breaking into a safe and making off with a significant trove of merchandise. The break-in, reported to have occurred late on Sunday, resulted in the loss of both store inventory and customer-owned jewelry. According to WESH, the store owner, David Adams, discovered the aftermath the following morning and described the scene as one of "devastation."
Surveillance footage from a nearby business captured three masked suspects entering the store and remaining inside to methodically breach the store's safe, which was reinforced with eight inches of concrete. "I opened the door and you know, saw the devastation. I didn’t even think something like this was even possible," Adams stated, per WESH. Adams said that the store had been burglarized several times before, but never with this level of sophistication and execution.
Adams Jewelry's own security cameras were disabled by the intruders, who were reported to have spray-painted the lenses and cut the wires. Thankfully, neighboring Acme Cleaners' security cameras offered clear footage of the suspects, which has since been handed over to the Orlando Police Department.
Adams has urgently set up a tip line, and he is asking anyone with information to directly come forward or to reach out to the Orlando Police Department. Tips can be sent to [email protected] or called in to (833) 988-3939, as mentioned in the FOX 35 Orlando report.
