The community near Johns Hopkins University is grappling with safety concerns following the arrest of a suspect in an attempted rape case. Baltimore police have apprehended 31-year-old Raymond Lunn, a registered sex offender with a history of violence, after he allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old student on the university's campus. FOX Baltimore reported that the police are now urging potential victims of Lunn to step forward, as there may be more individuals affected by his actions.
Enhanced images of Lunn have been released in hopes of assisting identification by potential victims. According to the police, Lunn attacked the student last Saturday night, before fleeing towards Bowman Drive.
Lunn faced a judge recently and was deemed a danger to the community, resulting in being held without bail. During his court appearance, Lunn rambled for over 20 minutes, ignoring advisement from both the judge and his own public defender. CBS News reported that the suspect was captured after a tip from a news viewer who recognized Lunn from a Metro Crime Stoppers flyer.
