Baltimore police have apprehended three teenagers linked to a rash of burglaries throughout the city, as per yesterday's announcement. The suspects, two aged 16 and one aged 14, face charges of motor vehicle theft, burglary, and handgun violation. This spree includes 11 commercial burglaries in Hampden, two in the Central District, and another in the Northeast District, with one incident involving a stolen vehicle, according to FOX Baltimore.
The burglary series came to light following a break-in at Chuck’s Trading Post in Hampden, where surveillance footage showed masked individuals smashing through the glass door and absconding with a cash register, the event occurring around 2:23 am on September 25. In a related incident on September 26, police recovered a stolen vehicle from the Western District and arrested the teens after monitoring and witnessing their attempt to drive away: "they watched three teens getting in and driving away," as reported by WMAR2 News.
Two of the arrested teens have a notable history with law enforcement, with a combined total of 12 prior arrests for crimes ranging from auto theft to robbery and burglary.
Following their apprehension, two teens were released on monitoring, while the third remained in custody. The specifics of these conditions were not disclosed, yet it's evident that law enforcement is taking steps to supervise the released individuals.
