Boulder County is gearing up to celebrate National Vote Early Day by partnering with local organizations and businesses to facilitate voter engagement. On October 28, Boulder County Elections will host events in collaboration with groups that span shelters to breweries, according to Boulder County News. These events aim to encourage residents to cast their ballots ahead of time, simplifying the voting process and mitigating any last-minute complications that might arise.

As part of the festivities, Boulder County Elections will be available to collect mail ballots, provide voter registration support, and offer election memorabilia. Acknowledging the power of early voting, Molly Fitzpatrick, Boulder County Clerk & Recorder, as obtained by Boulder County News, "Hosting Vote Early Day events has become a staple for our office." Fitzpatrick expressed keen interest in reaching voters in unconventional places - from shelters to brewing companies - highlighting the importance of engaging with the community where they live and convene.

The events, open to all without the need for an RSVP, will be happening across various locations and times throughout the day. Starting at 9 a.m., All Roads Shelter will not only serve as a drop-off point for ballots but will also welcome donations of toiletries and used towels. Following this, from 11 a.m. at the Emergency Family Assistance Association, voters can drop off non-perishable food items. Later in the day, at 2 p.m., the Association for Community Living will host a workshop to assist with voting plans, specifically aimed to support voters with intellectual developmental disabilities. Concluding the day's events, Avery Brewing provides an opportunity to enjoy a meal or drink post-voting, detailed by Boulder County News.

Representatives from the participating organizations highlighted the significance of these events. Alisa Wonnacott, the Executive Director of Association for Community Living, pointed out to Boulder County News, the reinforcement the event provides, saying, "Having election staff join us in our space and talk with people with disabilities about voting early and the elections process really sends the message that everyone's voice matters in the process." Meanwhile, Avery Brewing founder Adam Avery stated, "Supporting voter engagement in a relaxed, welcoming space aligns perfectly with our values and our ongoing commitment to the local community."
