Wilmington has forecast unseasonably warm conditions for the Columbus and Cincinnati areas through early next week, followed by a shift to cooler temperatures. A strong upper-level high is bringing temperatures 12–15 degrees above normal, with daytime highs expected in the mid to upper 80s, as per the National Weather Service.
Saturday will remain dry and sunny, with evening temperatures ranging from the lower 50s in the east to the upper 50s in the west. On Sunday, highs will again reach the mid-80s, with some morning river valley fog possible before clearing.
The pattern is expected to hold until late Tuesday, when a cold front will move through the region. This will bring showers and widespread rainfall, with a slight chance of embedded thunder. Severe storms are not expected.
By Wednesday, temperatures will drop to the mid and upper 60s, about 5 degrees below normal. This cooler period is expected to last through Thursday, with temperatures trending back toward normal by the end of the week. The National Weather Service forecast also notes that MVFR ceilings and visibilities could affect flight schedules on Tuesday.
