The Detroit Land Bank Authority is launching a $15 million Affordable Housing Pipeline initiative focused on multi-family redevelopment projects that are often too complex for small builders and too small for large developers. The Longview Multi-Family Rehabilitation in the Wade neighborhood will be the first project, converting 1920s structures at 10950 and 10958 Longview Street into 30 affordable housing units, according to the City of Detroit.

The project will preserve historic features while adding modern amenities, including new roofs, windows, doors, and interior updates for safety and accessibility. DLBA CEO Tammy Daniels emphasized the organization’s dedication, saying, "This affordable housing development reflects our continued commitment to Detroit neighborhoods," as reported by the City of Detroit.

The project will include a new parking lot for 23 vehicles with green infrastructure and stormwater management, described as "yet too complex for small-scale builders." The initiative will involve local Detroit and minority-owned contractors, with groundbreaking planned for summer 2026, as stated by the City of Detroit.
