Heroic actions at a high school football game have earned Saad Rajabali, an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Trinity High School, official commendation from the Euless community. On September 8, a student-athlete suddenly collapsed during gameplay, prompting Rajabali to quickly intervene. He retrieved an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), administered chest compressions, and took charge of the emergency, sustaining the student's life until medical professionals could take over.
According to the Euless Police Department's social media post, Rajabali displayed commendable quick thinking, professionalism, and compassion that were crucial to saving a life that day. His actions not only avert what could have been a tragic outcome, but they also shine as a beacon of the impact and importance of having trained personnel readily available to quickly respond to such emergencies.
The city, alongside the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, honored Rajabali with a Life Saving Award, recognizing his service and dedication to the safety of students.
