As Halloween approaches, the City of Lewisville teams up with the Old Town Business Association to bring back the spookily satisfying "Little Monsters on Main" event. On Saturday, October 25, from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, families are invited to immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit without having to dig deep into their pockets. According to the City of Lewisville, this free community event will feature trick-or-treating, inflatable attractions, live entertainment, and a movie screening under the stars at Wayne Ferguson Plaza.
Main Street in Old Town Lewisville is set to quickly become a bustling hub of costumes, candies, and laughter. Early attendees have much to look forward to, with scheduled activities including trick-or-treating and bouncing around in inflatables from 6 pm to 8 pm. The evening is also slated to host the REANIMATE1988 band until 7:30 pm and invites families to get slightly spooked with haunted hayrides leaving from City Hall between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, according to the event details. The first 500 costumed visitors will have the pleasure of snagging a complimentary branded treat bag provided by the information tent, stationed in North Poydras Plaza.
When the sun sets and the moon takes its nightly throne, "Little Monsters on Main" attendees can gather to watch the family favorite "Monsters Inc." from 8 pm until 9:30 pm, bringing the evening to a close with wholesome entertainment. Food vendors will be on-site for the peckish, but those wishing for more dining options are encouraged to explore the local eateries within Old Town — whether to sit and savor or grab and go, making it convenient to enjoy dinner with the movie.
The initiative not only promises to deliver an evening of delightful frights and fun but also reflects a concerted effort to enrich the community. "Little Monsters on Main" is a key component of the "Old Town" Big Move within the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. This strategic initiative aims to further develop Old Town as a premier gathering site and destination for visitors. The event takes place in the multi-award-winning Wayne Ferguson Plaza, an urban park noted for its modern aesthetic and features such as an interactive splash pad and a native garden, the event description elaborates.
