Morgan, boasting extensive experience across various governmental bodies, steps into this crucial position with a rich background. Her tenure includes work with the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Attorney General, the Railroad Commission of Texas, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. According to the Governor's office, her legal expertise will be a formidable asset to the board, particularly given her integral roles in state legislation and environmental matters.
Ashley Morgan's credentials are comprehensive, with educational laurels from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Political Science, and following that, a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law. Her professional affiliations include her membership with the State Bar of Texas and her contributions as an active member of the UT System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. Morgan also contributes her time as a docent with the Docents of the Governor’s Mansion and is an active member of the Stephen F. Austin Alumni Association.
