On Sunday early morning in Arlington Township, a fire killed two adult dogs and 19 puppies. The fire started around 4:50 a.m. in an outbuilding on M-43 and destroyed the structure, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
WSBT said the dogs were mastiffs, and images from the scene showed heavy damage after the fire. Firefighters said the structure where the dogs were kept could not be saved and the flames were put out around 5 a.m.
Fire crews from Bangor, Columbia Township, and South Haven Area Emergency Services responded to a fully involved building fire. South Haven Area Emergency Services officials believe a heat lamp placed near straw caused the fire. No people were injured, but several dogs died, as mentioned by FOX 17 Online.
