Michigan Central is set to bring back a winter tradition, with its second annual Winter at The Station event lined up to start mid-November. According to CBS News Detroit, last year's event proved to be a hit, drawing a crowd of over 53,000 visitors. This year, from November 14 through December 28, the historic site will once again open its doors for a six-week-long holiday fest.
The event promises to warm up the chilly Detroit season with a blend of local culture and festive activities. "Michigan Central will deck the historic halls of The Station, and by incorporating seasonal decor and interactive features, The Station will blend tradition and technology," the company mentioned, per CBS News Detroit. The festivities are expected to kick off vigorously on November 14-16, and will feature an array of local artists, hands-on activities, and a taste of local food and drinks.
FOX 2 Detroit highlights the event as a not-to-miss opportunity for both families and enthusiasts of Detroit's culture to engage with the community. Winter at The Station is not just an event, but a showcase of the city's heart and spirit with live music, creative workshops, and the chance to shop for Detroit-centric gifts.
