The Northern Community Food Security Team (NCFST), in partnership with Ripe for Revival, is bringing the mobile grocery store back to Wake Forest. Featuring locally sourced produce and essential items, the store is set up across from the Northern Regional Center at 350 E. Holding Ave. It operates on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Community members are invited to visit tomorrow to shop for groceries.

The mobile market places limits on protein and egg purchases, but there are no restrictions on produce. At checkout, there are no fixed prices, shoppers are given a suggested total and can choose to pay that amount, pay more to support others, or pay what fits their budget. According to an article on Wake Forest’s official website, the market accepts both cash and card payments.

Alongside the mobile grocery store, the AmeriHealth Caritas NC Mobile Wellness Center will also be on-site, offering additional services. Visitors can access blood pressure screenings, Wi-Fi-enabled computers and printers, and charging stations during their visit. Additionally, representatives from GoTriangle will be present to share information about upcoming service changes intended to improve transit access for residents of Wendell, Zebulon, and Wake Forest.

The holiday season will bring a temporary change to the Mobile Market's schedule in Wake Forest. While it usually operates on the second and fourth Thursdays, the market will shift to the first and third Thursdays in November and December. According to Wake Forest’s announcement, Ripe for Revival will be on-site November 6 and 20, and December 4 and 18.
