Country music is coming in a big way to Ann Arbor's colossal Michigan Stadium, affectionately known as The Big House, with superstar Morgan Wallen announcing a double-header for his 2026 "Still the Problem" tour. The concerts, scheduled for July 24 and 25, are expected to attract a packed house, following in the footsteps of Zach Bryan, who set a U.S. record there last month.
As ClickOnDetroit reports, this will be part of a significant tour for Wallen, with 21 dates across 11 cities. Wallen, along with special guests Thomas Rhett, HARDY, Hudson Westbrook, and Blake Whiten across both nights, could play to more than 200,000 fans, depending on stage setup. Notably, the Michigan Stadium concert on Sept. 27, with Zach Bryan and a slew of openers, drew a crowd of 112,408 - a record for the largest ticketed concert in U.S. history, ousting George Strait's previous record at Texas A&M's Kyle Field.
Following the monumental success of the first concert at Michigan Stadium, the venue is now cementing its reputation as a go-to destination for major tours. Detroit Free Press outlines that Wallen's tour will feature celebrated names like Ella Langley, Brooks & Dunn, and Gavin Adcock on various dates, aside from the Ann Arbor shows. Wallen's team ignited fan anticipation with online teasers, including a countdown clock, ahead of the official announcement.
Tickets for these historic performances are set to go on sale on November 7, with a presale registration window already open until November 6. Details and registration for presale can be found on Wallen’s tour website. Wallen's previous Detroit appearance saw him sell out back-to-back shows at Ford Field in June 2023, as WXYZ detailed. His return to Michigan, this time at the iconic stadium that has hosted countless memorable sports moments, marks another potential record-breaking event in his ascending career.
