Two young adults on the lam from New Jersey were brought to a standstill in Seminole County, Florida, where their attempted flight from the law ended in arrest. A report from WESH indicates that 19-year-old Darren Salazar and 20-year-old Janelly Ramos were nabbed by deputies around noon at the bustling intersection of Red Bug Lake Road and Tuskawilla Road.
Salazar, not content with his prospects of capture, attempted a dash for freedom but was ultimately restrained by an unmarked Seminole County Sheriff's Office vehicle. The outcome was a set of non-life-threatening injuries, for which he was given medical attention at a local facility. Meanwhile, Ramos surrendered quietly, her acquiescence contrasting with her companion's desperate escape. Their arrest and the investigation shut down the usually busy road for about six and a half hours, frustrating regular drivers and pedestrians.
The charges these suspects face are severe, a testament to the notion that actions bear consequences regardless of state lines. As per ClickOrlando, Salazar and Ramos were specifically identified near the intersection around noon, leading to their detainment. Salazar's additional charge in Seminole County includes resisting arrest without violence.
