
FBI Milwaukee, in coordination with local, state, and federal partners, carried out a large-scale operation targeting violent gang activity early yesterday morning. According to FBI-Milwaukee's Facebook post , "Operation Chalkline" involved 14 SWAT teams across Milwaukee and Racine, leading to the arrest of 22 individuals on federal charges and the execution of 24 federal search warrants.
Authorities seized over 4 kilograms of cocaine, 260 grams of fentanyl, 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 6 pounds of marijuana, 23 firearms, and 3 vehicles. The investigation was led by a Mount Pleasant Police Department task force officer as part of the FBI Milwaukee Area Safe Streets Task Force, which includes officers from the Caledonia Police Department, Racine County Sheriff’s Office, and Racine Police Department.
The operation involved numerous agencies, including the Cudahy Police Department, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Milwaukee Police Department, Oak Creek Police Department, West Allis Police Department, Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Patrol, ATF, DEA, HSI, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
FBI-Milwaukee stated that reducing violent crime remains a key priority, with continued cooperation among law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety and address organized criminal activity in Wisconsin.
