A recent run-in with Vallejo Police led to an arrest after a suspect on a mini motorbike, sporting equipment violations, engaged in a small-scale chase. According to a social media post from the Vallejo Police Department, the incident occurred on Thursday when a rider failed to comply with traffic laws on Tennessee and Marin streets, lacking working headlights and a helmet.
The attempted stop began when Vallejo officers noticed the vehicle's violations and signaled the rider to pull over. Instead of complying, the rider fled, prompting a pursuit through residential streets where he failed to stop at multiple posted stop signs. The chase finally ended near Marin Street and Georgia Street. As the suspect attempted to outmaneuver the police, an officer reportedly pushed the suspect, causing him to fall and be apprehended without further confrontation.
In the aftermath of the fall, a fully loaded firearm was discovered on the suspect. While the gun was indeed registered to him, he did not possess the necessary permit for carrying a concealed loaded weapon in public. The discovery added a firearms violation to the individual's list of transgressions for the evening.
The suspect, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was taken into custody and subsequently booked into Solano County Jail, with the mini motorbike being towed from the scene. Vallejo Police officials stated that the firearm was entered into evidence.
