The National Weather Service has issued an extended forecast for New York City boroughs, projecting varied weather conditions across the region. In Manhattan, today's weather is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high near 83 degrees and a southwest wind blowing at 7 to 14 mph, according to a detailed forecast on NWS. However, rain seems imminent, with the chance of showers increasing to 60% tonight, followed by possible thunderstorms and a low around 63 degrees.
Over in Brooklyn, a similar pattern persists as residents can expect a mostly sunny day with slightly cooler temperatures at around 80 degrees, as per the NWS report. As evening approaches, shower possibilities align with its neighbor, Manhattan, showcasing a uniformity in climatic temperament that eschews the whimsical whims of Spring. Queens, not far off the mark, mirrors these predictions nearly identically with its own high of 80 degrees today and approaching showers and thunderstorms tonight, as detailed by the weather forecast.
However, the Bronx appears to be bracing for marginally cooler night-time conditions with the forecast indicating a low around 62 and the same likelihood of rain, according to the NWS. Staten Island residents should anticipate comparable weather, with today reaching a high near 81 degrees and tuning into the communal anticipation of inclement weather during the twilight hours, as shared by the forecaster's latest briefing.
In a separate announcement, the National Weather Service confirmed there are no hazardous weather conditions expected for the area today, nor in the upcoming week that would meet NWS warning criteria, as outlined in their Hazardous Weather Outlook.
