In a move to bolster emergency preparedness, Fire Suppression Solutions has stepped up with a donation to the Washington County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center. The gift, a TRF+ 6-Litre fire extinguisher, is particularly suited to tackle fires involving lithium-ion batteries and comes as a welcome upgrade for the dispatch center that plays a vital role in the county's emergency communication network. The extinguisher is lauded for its effectiveness on various fire types and is especially useful in high-tech environments, as reported by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Washington County Dispatch, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office Facebook post, is responsible for supporting multiple agencies including Hartford, Kewaskum, and Germantown, to name a few. The dispatch center, which contains a bevy of electronic devices like radios, chargers, and backup power systems, stands to benefit from the TRF+ extinguisher's ability to rapidly douse flames, while also minimizing damage to sensitive equipment.
For her part, Amy Scheu, CEO of Fire Suppression Solutions, emphasized the practicality of the donation. "Placing TRF+ in dispatch is a common-sense upgrade for a mission-critical room," she noted. In an environment where every second can mean the difference between chaos and control, the addition of a tool that can swiftly subdue a potential fire hazard is an act of foresight, as stated by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
"We’re extremely grateful to Fire Suppression Solutions for this donation," Washington County Sheriff Martin Schulteis said, acknowledging the enhanced security the extinguisher brings to operations. The inclusion of such specialized equipment reflects the ongoing efforts to maintain a robust line of defense against disruptions to the county's emergency response system, as reported by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The TRF+ extinguisher's introduction to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is documented with a photo shared on social media. The image captures Sheriff Schulteis alongside Scheu, brandishing the life-saving technology now stationed at the dispatch center. It's a symbolic reminder of the proactive measures leaders are taking to safeguard those at the heart of our emergency response system.
