The White Settlement Police Department (WSPD) has been hard at work this past week, not just keeping the streets safe but also deeply engaging with the community it serves. In a social media recap that WSPD shared, the department offered insights into their proactive patrols, which have led to several arrests, confirming their commitment to law enforcement. In addition to upholding safety, the department has not shied away from embracing local causes and community spirit.
A notable mention in their weekly recap was the Baldwin Family’s generosity, whose donation has undoubtedly bolstered WSPD's resources and capacity for service. The honor guard wasn't left behind as they took part in regional training, sharpening their skills for ceremonial duties; the training presumably served as a reminder of the discipline and decorum that the department upholds. WSPD also showed it understands the value of early learning support, as it rallied behind the WSISD Transition Center's fundraiser, and indeed, it gave a boost to the 6th-grade Cubs Cheer Squad through sponsorship or participation, as per the White Settlement Police Department.
Moreover, with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the department demonstrated solidarity with everyone affected by the disease. They extended their community footprint by showing up at the homecoming game for the Bears' football team, a gesture that illustrates the officers’ willingness to embed themselves into the very fabric of the society they protect and serve, the Blue Angels were also mentioned in the recap, having touched down for a refueling stop; this interaction represents a cross-section of service branches coming together.
