An Annapolis man was taken into custody after he reportedly pointed a gun at a group of young Christmas carolers. The incident occurred last Saturday, when three 12-year-old girls were joyfully going door-to-door, engaging in the time-honored tradition of singing carols.
However, the holiday cheer was abruptly disrupted on the 1700 block of Point No Point Drive at around 8:30 p.m., according to authorities. As reported by FOX Baltimore, the children were met with hostility from 58-year-old Paul Brian Susie, who allegedly brandished a .40 caliber Glock handgun from within his residence.
Responding to an assault report, officers swiftly arrived at the scene approximately 40 minutes later, at 9:10 p.m. It was here that they were to quickly locate and arrest Susie, as WMAR-2 News detailed. During the arrest, the firearm in question was recovered. Susie is now facing serious legal consequences, as he has been charged with both first- and second-degree assault, among other related offenses.
