Yesterday morning, tragedy struck in northeast Columbus as Shakeilah White, aged 33, fell victim to a fatal shooting. As reported by WBNS, Columbus Police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on the 1100 block of Wildwood Avenue, near Ohio Dominican University, where they discovered White with a life-threatening gunshot wound around 3:30 a.m.
The efforts of the officers arriving at the scene to save the victim's life was urgent. Sadly, despite being rushed to Grant Medical Center, White succumbed to her injuries. ABC6 further reports that a man has since been detained at the scene, facing charges including tampering with evidence and various weapons-related offenses.
