The Flamingo Las Vegas is gearing up for its 80th anniversary with a series of renovations designed to refresh the historic resort. Caesars Entertainment, the resort's owner, has announced an overhaul of the lobby area, new design elements in public spaces, and a revamp of the iconic Bugsy’s Bar. Visitors can expect to see a completely redesigned lobby that includes an upgraded VIP check-in area, as well as a new bar set to revitalize the space with tabletop gaming and televisions, according to 8 News Now.
The lobby's new design focuses on a pod-style front desk adorned with bronze flamingo statues and custom murals, lending a modern yet familiar flair to an already classic Vegas destination. The new 20-seat bar, designed to serve as a welcoming centerpiece for guests, will be equipped with gaming options and circled by televisions. "We're introducing fresh designs that complement the recent additions to the property, creating spaces that feel modern yet unmistakably Flamingo," Dan Walsh, senior vice president and general manager of Flamingo Las Vegas, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Yet, analysts suggest the Strip may still need to increase efforts to attract lower-budget and international travelers for sustained growth.
At the heart of the casino floor, Bugsy’s Bar is slated to undergo a "full reimagination" with a new bold design and cocktail menu. The bar’s legacy is a nod to the mob history of the resort and offers drinks around the clock as part of its full-service approach, as outlined in the news release. This reinvention is accompanied by other notable additions such as the eateries Pinky’s by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay Burger, the Havana 1957 restaurant, and a revamped Go Pool, as mentioned in Caesars' official investor news release. Soon, the resort will also unveil Salt & Straw ice cream shop and Category 10, a Luke Combs-inspired entertainment experience.
Reflective of its commitment to remaining a vibrant Strip icon, the Flamingo's update draws on the creative expertise of Allard & Conversano Design. The design firm is tasked with the responsibility to meld modern elements with the iconic style of the Flamingo Las Vegas. "The resort has always been an icon on The Strip, and these renovations ensure it remains a vibrant, must-visit destination for years to come," Walsh added in his statement to Review-Journal.
