Flint’s Claressa “The GWOAT” Shields has signed an $8 million multi-fight promotional deal. Shields, the undisputed heavyweight champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, has secured one of the biggest contracts in women’s boxing.
Claressa Shields has signed a new deal with Wynn Records and Salita Promotions, which provides her with financial rewards and a plan to promote her fights. Shields, who has a professional record of 17-0, last defended her title against Lani Daniels in July. She said, "This deal represents more than just a contract, it’s a statement. I’ve fought my entire career to prove that women’s boxing deserves equal respect, equal pay, and equal opportunity," according to WNEM.
Claressa Shields has signed a deal that guarantees her a spotlight in early 2026, though details of her next fights are not yet announced. She is the only fighter, male or female, to hold all four major world titles in three different weight classes at the same time, and her last fight drew 15,366 fans at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The deal also allows for cross-promotional opportunities in areas like music and entertainment. Dmitriy Salita, president of Salita Promotions, said, "She became the first American boxer to win two Olympic gold medals, the first woman to headline a premium-cable boxing event, and a multidivision undisputed world champion," as per Post-Gazette.
