
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey, has issued a frost advisory for early Friday morning covering parts of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service advisory includes New Castle County in Delaware; Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties in New Jersey; and Delaware and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for cold temperatures that could affect sensitive vegetation.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures may drop to around 32 degrees, leading to frost formation. The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. EST Friday. Residents are encouraged to cover or bring indoors any plants sensitive to cold, as frost could damage or kill unprotected vegetation.
Daytime conditions are expected to be sunny with highs near 55 degrees and northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, as per the National Weather Service. Temperatures will fall into the 30s overnight, creating favorable conditions for frost.
The National Weather Service forecast indicates partly sunny skies on Friday, followed by showers Friday night. The weekend is expected to remain partly sunny with chances of rain on Saturday night and Sunday. Frost may return early next week.
