Local authorities are on the hunt for a man identified as a repeat offender in a string of thefts targeting pawn shops in Harris County. According to the Burglary and Theft Unit of Constable Mark Herman's Patrol Division, who responded to several theft reports, Warren Hammond has been named the suspect behind the crimes. A generator, confirmed as one of the stolen items, was recovered from a pawn shop, providing a trail leading directly back to Hammond, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page.

Detectives quickly built a profile of the suspect and found that Hammond was no stranger to trouble with the law. He had been charged with theft before, most recently in June 2025 by Constable Herman’s Detectives. Because of his prior convictions, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office is now charging him with State Jail Felony Theft, as per the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

The precinct's outreach has not been limited to traditional manhunts; they have actively engaged the public for assistance. "Warren Hammond is currently wanted on both charges filed by Constable Herman’s Detectives. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472, or your local law enforcement agency," stated Constable Mark Herman. The Harris County Constable Precinct 4 is also encouraging residents to stay informed by following them on Facebook and downloading the “C4 NOW” app, which provides real-time updates on crime, arrests, and other news.
