On a recent chilly morning in Harris County, deputies undertook a search that ended up saving a toddler from what could have been a grave outcome. According to a Facebook post by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, last Friday when authorities responded to a welfare check in a Perry Road neighborhood. They found a young child wandering alone, with Deputy Palacios and her K9 colleague Hades immediately scrambling to find the little one's caretaker.
The hours ticked by, with Deputy Palacios and Hades scouring the vicinity under the sharp watch of Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the mother, Endea Green, was nowhere to be found for what felt like an endless period of time, the clock bearing witness to the lapse in responsibility and care that every child is owed. Finally, after what was described as an exhaustive search, the deputies located the absentee parent – and she was promptly detained.
Green now faces charges of Child Endangerment, as she should, in the eyes of the law, her bond set at a substantial $7,500.00 out of the 338th District Court. “This case is a strong reminder of the importance of vigilance and responsibility when it comes to child safety,” Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said, reflecting on the incident and the fortunate ending that could have veered down a much darker path.
