Houstonians have faced multiple storms, including tornadoes on Monday, but cooler air is set to bring relief. On Tuesday, one last warm day is expected before a cold front arrives, with highs reaching the low 80s despite morning dew points.
Early Wednesday, "a reinforcing shot of cooler air" will move in as northerly winds create breezy conditions. Temperatures will drop, with morning lows in the mid-50s and highs in the upper 60s, but clear skies mean Thanksgiving travel should remain smooth, as reported by Houston Chronicle.
For Thanksgiving Day, morning temperatures are expected in the mid-40s, and "after a cool morning, temperatures will only warm into the upper 60s." Rain is not expected during the holiday, but a cold front over the weekend could bring showers, with a 70% chance on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms are also forecast for early next week, with a 60% chance on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
