
A juvenile has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred in the early hours of November 9 in Houston, as per the details released by the Houston Police Department. The male suspect, aged 15, is facing charges of failure to stop and render aid causing death and failure to stop and render aid causing bodily injury. For legal reasons, specifics about the juvenile, including his name and image, cannot be shared, as reported by the City of Houston.
The tragic event unfurled around 12:55 a.m. when a red GMC Sierra pickup truck, travelling hastily southbound, impacted a female pedestrian with its side mirror in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass. According to a statement obtained by the City of Houston News, the vehicle did not stop there; further along its route, it collided with a male pedestrian. The impact was severe enough for the Houston Fire Department paramedics to promptly transport him to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The man who died has not been identified yet, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The woman involved was injured, but her condition is unknown. HPD investigators, Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson, found the suspect’s vehicle and arrested the teenage driver.
