Boaters on Lake Mohave are in for a rough ride today with a Lake Wind Advisory in effect from early morning to late afternoon due to sustained northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph, leading to waves as high as 3 feet the National Weather Service warns that ridge-induced tranquility will persist through Wednesday, the respite is set to end as a trough, while details on its impact remain in the air, promises a definitive seasonal shift.
For flyers in and out of Harry Reid International, it should be smooth sailing with VFR (Visual Flight Rules) conditions projected to hold steady throughout the period. The forecast calls for light winds overnight, a moderate breeze in the afternoon, and conditions settling down again after sunset—nothing out of the ordinary for the season and certainly nothing like the choppier shifts expected around Lake Mohave.
Across southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California, the National Weather Service reports generally light, shifting winds. However, the Colorado River Valley will see stronger northern gusts. Weather spotters are advised to watch for and report any notable changes.
