A family in Las Vegas is in mourning and seeking justice after their dog was killed in a hit-and-run accident that also left a father injured. The incident occurred on November 17 near the Pueblo neighborhood at the intersection of Cielo Vista Avenue and Pueblo Vista Drive, an area surrounded by community fixtures including an elementary school and churches. E Lee was walking his pet when both were struck by a vehicle. The dog, Moo Moo, a 4-year-old Miniature Dachshund, suffered fatal injuries and later died at the emergency veterinarian.

As reported by FOX5 Vegas, the distraught owner recounted the harrowing event, "One feeling was disbelief, the other was shock. When I was on the ground, I thought I was dead. I picked up Moo Moo, and I saw blood streaming down." His daughter, Alison Lee, in an interview with 8 News Now, shared the emotional toll the loss has taken on the family, "I’ve been crying, like, every single night, just sobbing. I think it’s hard because we don’t have any closure around the situation."

According to News 3 LV, the family has expressed a deep sense of loss, stating, "Moo Moo was the light of our lives, and that they are broken without her." They continue to seek any information that could lead to the identification of the driver responsible for this tragedy. The suspected vehicle has been described as white or light-colored, possibly an SUV. However, efforts to locate surveillance footage or witnesses have thus far proven unsuccessful.

As the community reels from this incident, the Lee family urges drivers to exercise caution and mindfulness, particularly in high-traffic pedestrian areas. "It changed our family forever. Moo Moo was only four years old, we thought we had so much more time with her," Alison Lee told FOX5 Vegas. The family is pleading with anyone who may have witnessed the hit-and-run, or who has home or dash camera footage from the time of the incident, to come forward and contact the police, to provide some semblance of closure for their sudden loss.
