The NWS notes that the winds in the Colorado River Valley will reach speeds of 15 to 20 mph gusting to 25 to 30 mph. This near steady stream of wind could result in waves reaching 1 to 2 feet this afternoon, potentially resulting in hazardous conditions for boating enthusiasts. High pressure is dominating elsewhere, promising continued pleasant conditions across most of the region until the weekend arrives.
