
The Maryland Office of the Attorney General's Independent Investigations Division (IID) has released body-worn camera footage of a police-involved shooting in Dundalk that occurred last month. As reported by Fox Baltimore, the video captures the events leading up to the fatal shooting of 55-year-old Robert Adams, who was killed during the incident.
Per the released footage, the situation began with a call to police about shots fired at a residence in the 2100 block of Larkhall, after the call, officers observed an armed individual through a window and established a barricade around the house; the IID's release identified the six involved Baltimore County Police Department officers as Andrew Meyer, Malik McLaughlin, Austin Kiss, Nicholas Cook, Mason Rice, and Luke Eubert, according to WMAR-2 News.
The footage illustrates officers positioning themselves throughout the neighborhood as the standoff unfolded, tensions palpable in the air. As the incident escalated, Adams, the armed man, exited the house, leading the officers to discharge their weapons, resulting in his death.
Following standard procedure, the officers involved were placed on administrative leave while the incident was investigated.
