San Antonio — Thomas Lee Teague, a Bexar County man, was arrested at his home after authorities said he used a messaging app to solicit and share child pornography. He was booked into the county jail on a $125,000 bond following an investigation by federal and local law enforcement.
Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, were alerted to a sexual offense involving a child and tracked the activity to a messaging app account, according to News 4 San Antonio. Investigators say the account, which used the username "Tommy.Williams012," was linked to Teague through records and subpoenas that confirmed his identity, email accounts and phone number. Deputies obtained warrants for both Teague and his residence and arrested him at about midnight. He is being held on a $125,000 bond.
Where He Is Being Held And How Task Forces Operate
Teague is currently lodged at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, the county facility at 200 North Comal Street. Bexar County provides contact lines and procedures for inmate and bond inquiries for that jail. Cases involving alleged child exploitation are often handled through coordinated efforts like the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force and initiatives such as Project Safe Childhood. These joint operations combine federal and local resources to dig through digital evidence in complex cases, including those that originate from cyber tips or referrals sent to national clearinghouses.
Legal Status And Next Steps
Warrants were used to bring Teague into custody, and officials say the investigation is still active as prosecutors review the evidence and determine formal charges beyond the initial warrant described in early reports. News 4 San Antonio reports that deputies secured warrants for both Teague and his residence before making the arrest.
Anyone with information about this case or suspected online child exploitation is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line or submit a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline at National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or by calling 1-800-THE-LOST.
