Residents across New York City boroughs are looking at a week of mixed weather conditions, with patchy frost, rising temperatures, and breezy conditions, according to forecasts published by the National Weather Service. Manhattan can expect increasing clouds today and high near 51 degrees, while tonight, there's a chance of patchy frost after 1am with lows around 36. In Brooklyn and Queens, similar conditions will prevail with temperatures hovering in the low 50s during the day.
Precipitation seems imminent across the boroughs too as The Bronx, Staten Island, and other areas are gearing up for 90% chance of rain tomorrow night. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible, temperatures are expected to rise to the mid-50s by the early morning hours. Looking ahead, Sunday morning may also bring showers, but with a thirty percent chance of rain before 1pm bringing partly sunny skies and breezy conditions with gusts as high as 32 mph according to the forecasts.
As for the start of the next week, the National Weather Service’s outlook suggests a mostly sunny disposition with highs in the upper 40s, nighttime temperatures will be chilly with lows in the mid-30s across all boroughs with Staten Island potentially dipping to 34 degrees on Tuesday night. While temperatures remain moderate without significant fluctuations, New Yorkers should remain prepared for a brisk week ahead.
Despite the varying weather patterns, no hazardous weather advisories are in place as of now for the land areas, nevertheless, boaters be warned, as the National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook highlighting the possibility of westerly gale force wind gusts this Sunday afternoon possibly lasting into Monday for Atlantic coastal waters, thus mariners should exercise caution and stay updated with the latest forecasts.
