
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement this morning regarding lingering fog in parts of the Piedmont region. Visibility has dropped below half a mile in several areas. The fog is expected to lift by 11 a.m., with sunny conditions and a high near 67°F, according to the NWS.
Tonight, skies will be clear with temperatures dropping to around 41°F. On Monday, mostly sunny conditions are expected with highs near 63°F and light east winds around 5 mph. As the week continues, showers are possible in Raleigh starting Tuesday afternoon. The NWS reports a 30% chance of rain during the day, increasing to 70% by night, with the possibility of thunderstorms after 1 a.m.
Midweek forecasts indicate a chance of showers before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 72°F. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 41°F. Thanksgiving Day is expected to be mostly sunny with cooler highs near 52°F.
For Black Friday, sunny weather is expected in Raleigh with highs near 50°F. Over the weekend, mostly sunny conditions are forecast, with highs in the low 50s, following the week’s initial period of storms and fog.
