San Antonio police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who, they say, robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint on the Northwest Side in late September. Investigators say the suspect approached someone on foot, demanded jewelry while pointing a rifle, then took off. The getaway car is described as a dark-colored Dodge Challenger, and detectives are renewing their push for tips.
What investigators say
According to KENS5, the robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. on September 30 in the 11400 block of Culebra Road. Police say the suspect walked up to a person on the sidewalk, pointed a rifle, demanded the victim’s jewelry, and drove away. No arrests have been announced, and the vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored Dodge Challenger.
Reward and how to tip
Crime Stoppers of San Antonio says it may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to a felony arrest. To be eligible for a reward, tips must go directly to Crime Stoppers. Tips can be made anonymously by calling 210-224-STOP (210-224-7867), by texting, or through the P3 Tips app, the organization notes.
What police want from witnesses
Police are asking anyone who was in the area or who may have video of the dark-colored Challenger around that time to contact Crime Stoppers—do not approach the vehicle. Investigators warn the suspect may be armed and urge residents to call the tip line with any leads, per KENS5. Those with relevant footage can also submit tips through the P3 Tips app.
