Rev. Dr. A.W. Anthony Mays holds a special place in the city's history as the first African-American student to attend Round Rock High School following desegregation in 1964. His academic and athletic prowess at the school laid the groundwork for an impressive future, including serving as the pastor of one of Central Texas's largest historically Black churches for over thirty years.
