Sacramentans can expect a mix of sunny skies and potential showers over the next week. The reports highlight a calm weather pattern with temperatures, for the most part, resting comfortably in the 70s, dipping as the possibility of showers looms on the horizon, according to the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service.
Starting off the week, the NWS describes today's weather as offering "Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph." This should give way to a partly cloudy night, with temperatures dropping to around 53 degrees. Monday and Veterans Day will mirror today's conditions, maintaining mostly sunny to partly sunny skies, with again cool wind and highs caressing the mid-70s.
As per the NWS forecast, a shift will occur midweek when Wednesday introduces a 30 percent chance of showers, potentially escalating to actual showers in the night. These rainy conditions are expected to persist through to Friday, marking a cooler and wetter end to the week with highs dropping to the low 60s and even mid-50s.
Light showers may continue to grace the region intermittently, with the NWS noting a "slight chance of showers" for the upcoming Saturday. Despite the showers, it will be mostly sunny, hovering around a cooler 60 degrees.
