
The San Antonio community is on alert as the search intensifies for Gerald Bonner, a 43-year-old man missing since November 4. According to KSAT, Bonner was last seen on Florida Street and Labor Street and was believed to be heading out for a camping trip that he never made it to.
Bonner's disappearance has led to the involvement of the San Antonio Police Department, which has issued a CLEAR Alert, a measure reserved for cases when an adult is presumed to be in jeopardy, as reported by Fox San Antonio, he is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs about 175 pounds and sports brown eyes with brown hair cut in a buzz style, and distinct tattoos including a spider on his stomach and others on his arms, glasses are also a part of his usual attire.
It was also noted by his brother, William Bonner, in a statement obtained by KSAT, that Gerald had been confronting mental health challenges and had "suicidal tendencies"; his absence raises grave concerns for his safety. William recounted how his brother left a note indicating his travel plans and booked several campground reservations hours away from San Antonio, none of which he appeared for.
Community members and authorities are urging the public to keep an eye out for Bonner, and for his 2023 white Hyundai SCZ, Texas license plate F3B7DV, the CLEAR Alert, with hopes to generate leads and William Bonner expressed his hope that this increased attention will turn the tide in their favor, stating "That does bring me a lot of hope" to KSAT.
