The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a forecast indicating a wet week ahead for the city. According to the latest data, today’s partly sunny skies, with temperatures peaking at around 62 degrees Fahrenheit, are set to give way to a more typically rainy Seattle pattern. Light winds shifting south are expected earlier in the morning.
As evening approaches, residents should prepare for a high chance of rainfall, with "rain likely, mainly after 3am," as reported by the National Weather Service. The temperature will drop to a low of about 52 degrees overnight, and southeast winds are expected to persist around 8 mph. The likelihood of precipitation stands at a notable 70%, though initial rainfall amounts are predicted to be minimal.
Monday promises even more rain with an 80% chance of precipitation and a slight breeze from the south-southwest. The day’s high should hover near 57 degrees, offering no respite from the dampness as new precipitation amounts remain slight. Monday night will likely continue with scattered showers, predominantly before 10 pm, and a modest temperature decline to 46 degrees.
Looking forward to Veterans Day, the city can experience a brief break from the showers. Forecasts project a partly sunny day, with temperatures reaching up to 54 degrees and winds maintaining their light and variable pattern. However, moving into Tuesday night, clouds will once again gather, setting the stage for potential rainfall as the week continues.
Wednesday heralds the return of rain, with a 60% chance of precipitation, mainly kicking in after 4 pm. The dreariness endures through the remainder of the week, with each day presenting its own promise of rain, cloud cover, and consistent highs in the low to mid-50s. Seattleites can expect a perpetuation of this pattern, with the National Weather Service forecasting ongoing showers and mostly cloudy skies right through Saturday.
