The city boasts a robust financial standing, in part thanks to several interrelated factors that include: The leadership of past and present City Councils that have guided reviews, updates, and adherence to strong fiscal policies and financial accountability practices, as revealed on their website.
With prudence at its forefront, the proposed 2026 budget is designed to navigate the present economic climate cautiously. It aims to ensure the city doesn't just maintain, but improves its service level and backs substantial reinvestments in public infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and parks, as outlined by the city council's schedule.
Those interested in participating or learning more about the process can mark their calendars for a slew of important dates. Subsequent meetings will include discussions on operating budgets, capital equipment, and the schedule of fees on November 17.
