
A Waller County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash during a memorial ride for Charlie Kirk, officials said. Chief Deputy Bobby Schields was taking part in the procession on Sunday when the crash happened near FM 2920 and Hegar Road. According to Click2Houston, he suffered fractures to his ribs, shoulder blade, cheekbone, temple, and other areas.
The sheriff’s office has not released details of the crash, but confirmed that Schields never lost consciousness despite his severe injuries. He was taken to the ICU, where early evaluations showed no brain or skull trauma, and officials noted that, "in true Bobby fashion, he is already keeping the ICU staff smiling and singing along to Tim McGraw," as reported by KHOU.
