In the quaint streets of Whitefish Bay, the community came together to enjoy the annual Holiday Stroll, a prelude to what's forecasted as a serious turn in the weather. The Whitefish Bay Police Department, in a social media post, expressed gratitude towards the residents for their participation and hinted at the coming weather conditions, describing the evening as "the calm before the storm".
With snow expected to blanket the area yesterday, the police department used Facebook to remind residents about parking guidelines ahead of the incoming flurry. Although official winter parking rules don’t begin until tomorrow, officers are asking the community to cooperate early and follow the overnight parking instructions in place for yesterday and today to help ease the burden on public works crews.
In the socia media post, the department stated, "Alternate side street overnight parking doesn't start until 12/1, but we ask that you help the DPW crews out and follow the winter parking rules tomorrow (11/29) by parking on the odd side of the street before midnight tomorrow and then the even side of the street before midnight on Sunday (11/30)." This strategic parking plan is designed to facilitate snow removal and ensure that streets remain navigable for both emergency vehicles and residents alike during the expected snowfall.
