San Antonio police are investigating after a 32-year-old woman was found unconscious in the parking lot of a West Side apartment complex Saturday evening. Officers responded around 5:45 p.m. to the 7900 block of Military Drive and took her to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
What investigators found
Responding officers saw visible tire marks on the woman's lower back when they arrived, according to KENS5. Investigators described the scene as preliminary while detectives work to determine how the injuries occurred, the outlet reported.
Police: possible hit-and-run
San Antonio police told KSAT the woman was found unresponsive on the ground with a bloody nose and that they suspect she may have been struck by a vehicle in a possible hit-and-run. There were no witnesses at the scene and no suspect has been identified, the station reported.
Investigation remains preliminary
Authorities have not released a description of any suspect or vehicle, and the cause of the woman's injuries remains unclear, KENS5 reports. San Antonio police say detectives continue to investigate and additional details will be released as they become available.
