A Brooklyn man nicknamed "Spectacular" has been indicted on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a 15-year-old girl. Twenty-six-year-old Sayquan Fleming faces a 27-count indictment, which includes child sex trafficking and several other related offenses, as reported by the Kings County District Attorney's Office.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said the case involved a month-long sex trafficking incident affecting the underage victim. The indictment is part of efforts to protect minors and at-risk individuals and to hold those involved in sex trafficking accountable. Fleming’s indictment followed the victim’s report of the incident to a school counselor, who then informed law enforcement.
Between early and late November, Fleming is accused of bringing the teenage victim to his apartment in the Marlboro Houses in Coney Island. He is reported to have taken her belongings, coerced her into prostitution at a Brooklyn location, and advertised her services online.
The victim was reportedly forced to solicit customers from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. and was assaulted if the proceeds did not meet Fleming’s requirements. Fleming is also accused of ordering other women to assault the minor on one occasion to demonstrate their loyalty to him. The full extent of Fleming's activities was uncovered during an investigation by the NYPD's Human Trafficking Squad, led by Detective Daniel Bergamini and overseen by senior officers.
Fleming was arraigned before Justice Danny Chun at the Brooklyn Supreme Court, where bail was set at $300,000 cash or a $2 million bond. The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Janesse Dawson of the DA’s Human Trafficking Unit.
