The Saint, the Italian steakhouse from Hooper Hospitality Concepts that opened near Deep Ellum in 2023, is packing up its white tablecloths and heading for the Dallas Design District, where it will unveil a new dining room on January 3, 2026. The two-story space is slated to feature an 85-seat, 1,800-square-foot dining room with skyline views and a Texas-driven menu built around dry-aged cuts, wagyu, and housemade pastas.
Design District debut, address and opening date
According to CultureMap Dallas, The Saint will reopen at 1000 N. Riverfront Blvd. and begin dinner service on January 3, 2026. The outlet reports the restaurant will share a building with Night Rooster, a sibling Asian concept planned for 2026, and quotes Hooper Hospitality CEO Andy Hooper, who calls the Design District “the ideal setting” for the concept.
Chef Sergio Esquivel takes the pass
Executive Chef Sergio Esquivel, a Dallas native trained at the Culinary Institute of America, will oversee the kitchen. Industry coverage notes his previous stops at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle, Georgie by Curtis Stone, and Nuri Steakhouse. Reporting by FSR describes Esquivel’s style as a blend of classic steakhouse cooking with Italian technique and global touches that nod to Peruvian brightness and Korean depth.
Menu highlights and the bar program
Diners can look for Texas Wagyu tartare with truffle carpaccio, a showpiece shellfish platter, and a 32-ounce bistecca alla Fiorentina, alongside vegetarian and vegan options, according to local reporting and the restaurant’s press materials. The Saint will also keep its inventive bar program in play, including the signature “In Good Faith” cocktail and mesquite-smoked takes on the Manhattan and the Old Fashioned. Reservations and operating hours are available on the Saint Dallas website.
From Deep Ellum to a higher-profile block
The Saint originally opened near Deep Ellum in 2023 at 2633 Gaston Ave., where it built a late-night following for oyster hours and steak dinners, according to Eater Dallas. The move to the Design District is set to give the concept a more visible address and a more tightly curated dining room as it leans into steakhouse theater and Texas-first ingredients.
