The lighting of the Menorah 🕎, a symbol of Chanukah's timeless narrative, brought residents together in a reflection of the holiday's themes of perseverance and faith. "Chief Tambasco was proud to serve as a guest speaker, sharing words that reflected unity, respect and the importance of coming together as a community," the Fernandina Beach Police Department's Facebook post read. Chanukah, a festival that lasts for eight days, is marked by the lighting of the menorah each night, games, and festive foods. It's a time that celebrates the miracle of a small flask of oil keeping the menorah in the ancient Holy Temple of Jerusalem lit for eight days.
